Object Name Red Cross Medal
Description American Red Cross service medal suspended from a ribbon. Circular, gilt medal has blue and white enamel, domed surface with a red cross. White enamel in center and blue enamel border encirclling it, with a narrow gold rim. Gold printing on the blue enamel says, / Service / American Red Cross /. Dark red raised enamel cross is in center of white enamel. Grosgrain ribbon is navy blue with a thin white, vertical stripe in the center. Ribbon is suspended from a gilt and blue enamel bar pin at top which says, / Foreign Service / in gold lettering.
