Description Service medal in a rough cross shape, is suspended from a rainbow striped ribbon. Medal is brass-colored metal. Obverse has eagle with outstretched wings on top of county seal, a circle whose perimeter is marked / County of Sauk / State of Wisconsin /. An unfurled ribbon above the eagle reads / WORLD WAR SERVICE /. Reverse of medal has relief inscription / Presented by / the County of Sauk / in Grateful Recognition / of Patriotic Service / Rendered During / the / World / War / 1917-1918 /. Ribbon is rainbow-colored, ribbed silk faille and is pleated down to fit loop above eagle. Ribbon is Brass-colored bar-pin at top. Ornate border on pin and name / Molly B. Smith / on front.
