Object Name Purse
Description Fabric purse; oval-shaped; top half open; string-like strap pulled through 2 amber glass? rings; large tassel on bottom. Interior lining is gold-colored China silk. Whoe exterior is covered w/lacework done in metallic thread, gold/silver colors w/silver tarnished to brownish. Strap is twisted gold thread. Tassel is bell-shaped at top, encased in lacework; interior strands are gold-colored cotton thread; exterior strands are spring-like gold metallic w/small loop on ends.
Provenance Used by members of the Horseless Carriage Club of America, Tucson Chapter, during the 1950s-1980s as part of Living History Costumes. Harry Mann was charter member of club.
