Object Name Shirt
Description Man's off-white cotton shirt w/allover brown, vertical stripes w/small designs woven into fabric between stripes. Full front opening w/5 mother-of-pearl buttons on right. Strips of white fabric sewn on interior of opening covering length used by buttons/buttonholes, about 2/3 of shirt length. Round neckband w/2 front and 1 back buttonholes for attaching collar. Side slits. Wide cuffs on sleeves w/2 pairs of cufflink holes; brown stripes run horizontally. Small, white label sewn to back interior below neckband /THE/NIAGRA/COMPANY/ in red.
Provenance Used by members of the Horseless Carriage Club of America, Tucson Chapter, during the 1950s-1980s as part of Living History Costumes. Harry Mann was charter member of club.
